Have a sister, cousin, girlfriend or anyone other lady in your life that fits in the age groups below let them know football is for them too.
It's that time of year for the Girls season to start ramping up and time to do some recruiting. This year the CDMFA would like to expand the Girls tackle football program to include both a U19 division and a U16 division. That means we will have programs for ladies from 13 -19 with the option of 12 year olds on a case by case basis. To help with the recruiting we will be holding some Gym nights on the following days from 4 -6 at the Drill hall in Wetaskiwin:
Jan 12 from 4-6pm
Jan 19 from 4-6pm
Jan 26 from 4-6pm
Feb 23 from 4-6pm - Cancelled
March 8 from 4-6pm
There will also be a series of Girls Skills Sessions held at Foote Field. See the dates and times below.
Feb 23rd: 5pm - 7pm, 1/2 field (Girls Skills Sessions)
Mar 1st: 3:30pm - 5pm, 1/2 field (Girls Skills Sessions)
Mar 7th: 10am - 12pm, 1/2 field (Girls Skills Sessions)
Mar 15th: 2pm - 4pm, 1/2 field (Girls Skills Sessions)
Mar 21st: 8am - 10am, full field (Girls Skills Sessions)
This program is open to all communities from Leduc south to Red Deer (further south if someone wants to drive to Wetaskiwin for practices and Edmonton for games) and to both boarders east and west. We really need to get the word out about this program so please share on your Facebook pages, other social media, and any other place you can think to share. Heck do what we have been doing and stop people on the street and tell them about it. From our experience all the ladies want is to be asked. They want to play, but they are nervous and that is okay. They can play this great sport and should play this great sport. There is a spot for everyone!!!
Signing up is as easy as going to clicking the registration link on wetaskiwinfootball.com then following the steps. If you have trouble or have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
